The Oakes Area Chamber of Commerce is a community organization serving a population of 2,000 friendly people located on Hwy 1 between Hwy 11 and 13 in Southeast North Dakota. Over 200 businesses and individual memberships participate in the Chamber to make up a thriving mix of retail, agriculture, professional, and service-related businesses in the Oakes area.

• Oakes Irrigation Days: June 8-10, 2007
• The event includes a parade, street dances, hamburger feed, pie and ice cream social, demolition derby, and a variety of events designed around a central theme (the roaring 20's this year).
