Hope, ND is located approximately 70 miles northwest of Fargo in the southwest corner of Steele County. The town was located in 1881 and in 1882-83 experienced one of those remarkable buildnig booms, which to every small town had something solid and lasting in the character of its people. The Steel County Museum is located on Main Street in Hope with history that dates back into the 1800's. Other tourism related attractions in Hope are Gracie Creek Treasure Box and Farmers Union Oil Company. The current population of Hope is approximately 300.
