Bowdon, North Dakota: Come Enjoy Our Good Nature

Located in the heart of the prairie pothole region, Bowdon is a small but feisty town with much to offer:

  • a café with good home cooking
  • a full service grocery store and locker plant with excellent meats
  • churches
  • RV park
  • banks
  • hair salons
  • gas stations
  • one of the best small town museums in the state
  • library
  • pet grooming
  • Patrie’s Raspberries
  • Candlelight Cottage soy candles and gifts
  • lodging
  • and much, much more

Hunting, fishing, geocaching, snow-mobiling keep our residents and visitors busy, and community activities abound. Highlights include the annual Food Fair in January and our stellar attraction, DuckFest, the first weekend in October. DuckFest offers a Friday night German Supper, Art Show, Quilt Show, Geocaching, Heritage Tour, Skeet Shoot, Birding presentation, Quack Quack Rack Sale (Flea market), Duck Diversions for Kids, Chainsaw Carving Demo, Saturday Night Steak Night, and Bowdon Brevities with the 2007 show headlined by Cotton Wood, a bluegrass band.
